Virtual Meetup: "New in DclareForMPS"

Hi Community,

I am happy to announce that next Tuesday (the 28th of February), Wim Bast will discuss “New in DclareForMPS”.

You’ll find the Zoom link below!

Wim Bast will give a demo of new functionalities of DclareFroMPS. DclareForMPS is an open-source plugin for MPS. DclareFroMPS adds a relatively small extension to the MPS base-language. With DclareForMPS you can define many aspects of a language in a single declarative transformation formalism. DclareFroMPS is enriched in the context of the European BUMBLE project. This project strives for a combination of blended en collaborative modeling. The demo will show a simple state machine language with three concrete syntaxes. The demo will also show the specification of a bidirectional transformation, a code-generator, a consistency checker, a simulator/interpreter, and a diagrammatical syntax. Hopefully a discussion will follow about how this approach compares to other language specification approaches.

Wim Bast is one of the founders of the Modeling Value Group. Wim Bast has a long experience in model driven development. He was involved in the developments of model-driven standards, author, and has given many talks about the subject in the early days of model driven development. As a meta-automation consultant he now helps to make model driven development a success in crucial processes like tax collection and healthcare in the Netherlands.

How to connect

To avoid other security issues is now necessary to register for the meeting. The registration should be necessary just once and be valid for all the next meetings you will participate in. I understand it is a little extra effort, but it would avoid problems like the ones we encountered:

Registration for the Virtual Meetup

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. It will also permit you to add it to your calendar.

Time

It is hosted on Zoom at 5 PM GMT+1/CET (you can use this link to figure out which time is in your timezone: Dateful Time Zone Converter.

Cheers,
Elisa
