Hi, I'm Gert Veldhuijzen van Zanten

I have been working with model-driven software development since 2005, but language orientation started way before that. My master`s thesis (1988) in computer science at the University of Twente (the Netherlands) was about a parser generator, and my PhD was on code generation. After that I investigated dialogue management in spoken language systems and got to know some more about computational linguistics.
I’ve done several projects with MDSD for the Dutch Tax Authority. First the benefits (Toeslagen) system, and, currently, I’m lead architect/developer in the ALEF-project. ALEF is a MDSE-tool based on JetBrains MPS. ALEF is being used in a variety of projects at the Tax Authority, among which the income tax.
